Volunteers’ Week 2017
Today is the start of volunteer week. Volunteers’ week is an annual celebration of the impact and difference volunteers make. TPAS is one of the many organisations lucky to enjoy the contribution, expertise and commitment of hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers are engaged in all aspects of our service:
- helping resolve problems people have faced with their pension plans;
- answering calls to our helpline; and
- providing expert help to staff and fellow volunteers.
We estimate the value of the volunteer contribution to our service to be £2.5 million. But the greater value is the reassurance, help, expertise and commitment they give to help the many thousands of customers who contact us each year.
The Pensions Advisory Service Chief Executive, Michelle Cracknell said, “The pension industry should be proud of the contribution made by hundreds of pension professionals who give their time and expertise for free to help others. Our sincere thanks to all our marvellous volunteer advisers.”
