Fran Kirby: Award Winning Footballer
Chelsea and England’s Fran Kirby won the PFA’s Women’s Players’ Player of the Year 2018 and also a global prize of the Football Writers’ Women’s Footballer of the Year. Fran has been called the Mini Messi and has scored 22 goals in the season. This weekend she should be picked to play in the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final. TPAS wishes both Arsenal and Chelsea good luck on the day and hopes for an excellent game of football.
When Fran was 14, she gave up on football for 4 years as she tragically lost her mother and struggled with depression as a result. She returned to football in 2012 and over the last 6 years set the footballing world alight. Fran is now motivated by the memory and the love of her mother to do well and is an inspiration for many women and girls.
