DWP introduces new state pension statement service
From 22 October 2012, the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) is introducing its new state pension statement service. This replaces the state pension forecasting service.
You can request pension statements directly from the Future Pensions Centre, either by telephone or in writing. From 29 October 2012 you can also get a state pension statement on-line here.
A state pension statement gives you an estimate of the state pension you may get when you reach your state pension age, based on your National Insurance record as it stands when the statement is produced. It also includes simple information that will help you understand what effect further qualifying years may have on the amounts shown in the statement.re
There is also a new leaflet (DWP40) designed to accompany the statement, which can be found using the above link.
