Congratulations to Harry and Meghan
We had the Royal Wedding on Friday, with Princess Eugenie and Jack tying the knot and now today we’ve had further good news with the announcement that Meghan is pregnant and the baby is due in the Spring. We suspect that the Duchess of Sussex doesn’t have to worry about paid maternity leave and how that affects her pay and conditions but most mothers-to-be in the UK do. Taking time out for maternity and or caring for children is one of the major reasons why there is a pensions gap between men and women. To help mothers-to-be understand how maternity leave affects pensions and what they are entitled to, TPAS has produced a very helpful spotlight on the subject, available here.
In the meantime, TPAS wishes a hearty congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
