This is What You Need Before You Get Started

Piggy Bank In the next few pages, you will be asked questions about your pension and investment savings, including your state pension entitlement. Ideally, to get the most out of this planner, you should get the following before starting.

State Pension

Get an up to date state pension statement. You can get one sent to you by post by ringing the Pension Service's forecasting team on 0845 300 0168. Alternatively, you can get one online by clicking here.

Private Pension

Get an up-to-date benefit statement. If you do not have one, contact your scheme administrator.

If you have been a member of a former employer's pension scheme you will need to have the leaver's statement issued to you when you left. If you cannot locate a copy, now is a good time to ask the scheme for an up-to-date quote.

Other Investments and Savings

Get an up-to-date value of your fund or holding.
