20 July 2012
We are delighted to today announce that Usha Madan has been
awarded the title of 'Adviser of the Year' for 2011/12. Usha has
made a fantastic contribution. Not only does Usha handle a
high number of cases each year, she also comes into the office,
normally twice a week, to answer calls on our helpline. And
if that was not impressive enough, Usha also helps deliver
presentations for our workplace and communities team, many of which
she delivers in languages other than English.
We are also pleased to announce that four volunteer advisers
have been made Fellows of TPAS in recognition of their outstanding
service over a number of years. The new Fellows are Andrea
Morris-Conway, Richard Ralph, Brian Smyth and Keith
Wallace.
TPAS Chief Executive, Marta Phillips said: "All our volunteers
helped their fellow citizens to the tune of just under £10
million last year, so it is particularly pleasing to recognise our
Adviser of the Year and new Fellows. I would like to
congratulate Usha and our new Fellows and thank them for their
contribution over many years of service."
