18 July 2012
New laws came into effect on July 1 banning employers from
encouraging their staff or potential employees to abandon pension
saving, or rewarding them for opting out. The new rules apply
to both existing workers and potential new recruits - for example
making a job offer or higher salary conditional on not joining the
employer's automatic enrolment scheme.
If workers think that the rules are being broken they can find
how to report their concerns here.
