A Pension Protection Fund (PPF) announcement has confirmed that
ten more schemes have been transferred to the PPF. These schemes
covered 937 members.
There schemes in question were: AEW Delford Final Salary
Pensions Plan (AEW Delford Group Ltd); AEW Delford Final Salary
Pension Plan (Vac Realisations Ltd); AEW Delford Final Salary
Pension Plan (DSL Realisations Ltd); The Burall Group Pension Plan
(Burall Brothers); The Burall Group Pension Plan (Burall
Floraprint); The Burall Group Pension Plan (Burall Myles); The
Burall Group Pension Plan (Burall Plastec); Essex Careers &
Business Partnership Ltd Pension Scheme; GSS Group Limited Pension
Fund and Life Assurance Scheme; and the Holden & Brooke Ltd
Pension Scheme.
The PPF also issued the following updated figures for the
scheme:
- 160 schemes have now entered the PPF.
- 47,266 people are now receiving or will receive compensation in
the future.
- To the end of 30 June 2010 the PPF has paid out more than
£170 million in compensation.
- The average yearly payment is about £4,000 per
person.
- The oldest recipient is 110 years old and the youngest is five
years old.
- The PPF has a further 372 schemes in an assessment period
