According to a news article in the Daily Mail, up to a
million Equitable Life policyholders will finally win compensation
under plans to be unveiled by the Government with the Treasury
preparing to set up an independent commission to make the
payouts.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the payouts will total
£1billion which falls well short of the £4.7billion
policyholders have demanded.
