The Reader's Digest pension scheme has entered into the Pension
Protection Fund (PPF) assessment period. After going into
administration in February, Readers Digest Association UK was
recently bought out by private equity firm Better Capital.
However, the £125m pension shortfall will remain with the
company and is the subject of ongoing talks between the Pensions
Regulator, the PPF and the scheme administrator's Moore
Stephens.
