Retirees live on half average wage

According to Aon's Defined Contribution (DC) Pension Tracker for August, pension funds have seen a £30bn improvement to £485bn in the last month.

However, the research showed that the expected retirement income for those aged 60 to be just £231 per week which is 52% less than the 2008 average UK wage of £479 per week.
