Expat pensions case hearing

03 September 2009

A hearing was due to take place yesterday at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) as part of a long-running legal challenge that could affect the pensions of thousands of Britons who have retired abroad. The group of 14 pensioners want to see their UK state pension increase in line with inflation each year. A final judgment in the case is not expected until Spring next year.
