Further to previosu news items The Freedom SIPP Limited, which
operates a SIPP of the same name, has been wound up in the
High Court. The High Court had been petitioned by Her
Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for the non-payment of
tax.
A liquidator is to be put in place and scheme members
are still be able to request a transfer of their investments to
another SIPP scheme.
The stance taken by HMRC has been supported by the FSA who today
