Research by Aviva has revealed that over a third of consumers
think their pension funds have been reduced because of the
recession. Twenty three per cent said they have reduced their
outgoings in the past year in order to save enough for
retirement.
More than 1,200 individuals approaching retirement were surveyed
and of those surveyed, a quarter of respondents are worried about
how they will fund retirement, with five per cent admitting that
they will be relying on part-time employment.
