Pensions of LBG directors 'downgraded'

Lloyds Banking Group has announced that directors of the state-controlled bank will move their pensions from a Defined Benefit into a Defined Contribution scheme from April 2012.

The final-salary scheme has already been closed to new entrants, although longer-serving staff continue to accrue pension benefits and will not be affected by this decision.
