Latest government regulations reveal that the Pension Protection
Fund (PPF) will take over the role of scheme manager for the
Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) this summer.
Pensions Action Group campaigner Ros Altmann said: "The
government are going to transfer the responsibility of the FAS to
the PPF, as it is clear that they do not need to duplicate
efforts."
