A report by the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) has
revealed that the demise of final salary schemes in small employers
is almost complete.
The ACA surveyed employers with 250 or less staff. Of these
firms 91% of schemes were found to be closed to new entrants. Half
of schemes were closed to future accrual.
