Catharine Pusey, Director of the Employers Forum on Age (EFA),
has expressed disappointment that a number of people are still
victims of ageism at work, despite legislation introduced in
2006.
Ms Pusey said the EFA's long-term campaign is to persuade the
Government to commit to remove the default retirement age of 65 in
2011 - rather then merely review, which will provide clarity for
employers and employees and give employers several years to
prepare.
