The Pension Protection Fund (PPF) has taken three more
schemes under its wing in the last month. These schemes
are the Butler Pension Scheme, Clark & Co (Engineers
Grimsby) Pension Scheme, and Clark & Co (Womersley Road)
Pension Scheme. They have also released some further statistics on
the lifeboat scheme as a whole:
- 107 schemes are now in the PPF.
- 31, 729 people are receiving or will receive compensation in
the future.
- The PPF paid out £6.8 million in compensation between 1
November and 30 November 2009
- Since opening its doors in 2005, the PPF has paid out more than
£100 million in compensation
- The average yearly payment is around £4,000 per
person
- The oldest recipient is 104 and the youngest is seven years
old
- The PPF now has a total of 358 schemes in the assessment period
and a total of 199,782 members.
