The DWP Pension Service has published a new revised version of
their PM2 guide. This guide provides a detailed overview of the
state pension rules. It also covers the rules that apply to
retirees prior to the 2010 reforms and also those who retire
on or after the 6th of April 2010 under the qualifying system
brought about in the Pensions Act 2007. Further sections of the
guide cover the replacement of the HRP scheme in 2010 with a new
system of NI credits as well as an overview of the State Second
Pension and rights for carers, the disabled and those at home
looking after children.
