Women urged to save

08 April 2009

According to a survey published by Prudential, women will retire on a third less cash than men this year and experts say this should act as a wake-up call for younger generations to get saving earlier. The expected annual pension for women who retire in 2009 is £13,671 compared with £20,313 for men.

Advisers say the findings should spur younger generations to get saving now to avoid being cash-strapped in retirement.
