PPF take four more schemes

Four more pension schemes transferred to the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) in September, resulting in a further 3,031 people around the UK now receiving PPF compensation, or being eligible to receive it in the future.

The following pension schemes transferred to the PPF in September 2008:

Automotive Products Pension Scheme 1995 (Automotive products Group Ltd)

Automotive Products Pension Scheme 1995 (AP Hydraulics Ltd)

Automotive Products Pension Scheme 1995 (APTEC Technologies Ltd)

Moorland Poultry Pension Scheme

To date:

-61 schemes have now transferred to the PPF
-18,957 people are now receiving compensation, or will receive it in the future
-The PPF paid out more than £2.7 million in compensation between 2 September and 1 October
-The average yearly compensation is £4,700 per person
-The oldest recipient of compensation is 103, and the youngest is six.
