Lords rejects annuity age extension

29 October 2008

During the latest Pensions Bill debate, the House of Lords has rejected the Liberal Democrat proposal to extend the age limit of buying an annuity from 75 to 85 or 80.The Conservative proposal to temporarily suspend the 75 age has also been rejected.
