London-based commercial lawyers have been hired by at least 10
UK and US pension funds and institutions in an attempt to recover
money owned by stricken Icelandic banks. Ministers and bankers in
Iceland were due to be confronted by lawyers last week, but
discussions have been thrown off balance by the current confusion
in Reykjavik as angry creditors seek their own credit crunch talks
with Icelandic officials.
