Equitable hearing provisional date

20 October 2008

A provisional date of 30 October has been set for the Public Administration select committee to hold a hearing into the collapse of Equitable Life in a move which will put further pressure on the Government to award compensation to those policyholders who lost up to half of their life savings when Equitable Life was forced to close new business in 2001.
