Following the nationalisation of Northern Rock, the scheme
trustees of the Northern Rock pension scheme are looking to meet
with the new executive chair Ron Sandler and chief financial
officer Ann Godbehere as soon as possible.
A spokesman for the scheme trustees said "they are still seeking
a commitment to security for the estimated £100m deficit - as
far as they are concerned this has not changed."
A Treasury spokesman commented: "Nationalisation does not affect
the pension fund as it is separate from the company. It is a
question to be addressed to the new management team of how they run
the fund and what they add to the pension pot."
