Nationwide depart AVC market and schemes may face bill

Nationwide has informed scheme trustees that it plans to withdraw from the additional voluntary contributions (AVC) markets from 28 February and has struck up a deal with Prudential to allow existing clients to transfer their AVC accounts. Any schemes with assets less than £200,000 will have to pay a fee of £8,500.
