EEF, the manufacturer's organisation has warned that small
businesses would suffer if the Pensions Bill was amended to exclude
employees over the age of 50 from auto-enrolment in personal
accounts.
EEF's deputy director of employment policy, David Yeandle said:
"In our view, such a wide ranging exemption from auto-enrolment
would potentially create some unnecessary administrative burdens
for employers, especially small employers."
