Four in ten workers fears their pension provision will not be
sufficient for a comfortable retirement according to research by
JLT Benefit Solutions.
The survey which polled 2013 employees working for 514 employers
found that 40% of respondents said they didn't think they were
doing enough to provide for their pensions or thought they would
have to rely on the government state pension.
Almost a third of respondents were "very worried" about they
were not saving enough, while 11% said it wasn't a pressing
concern.
Out of the 76% of employers who thought individuals bear
responsibility for retirement provision, 44% thought employers also
had a responsibility, while 54% thought the government should share
a responsibility as well.
