Latest data by the Office for National Statistics show that 60
per cent of adults are not paying into a private pension. It is the
highest proportion since records began 12 years ago and is further
stark evidence of how people are failing to recognise the need to
save for retirement.
The figure equates to 22 million of the working age population
and experts warned that more and more people are condemning
themselves to retirement in poverty.
