Tube union receive new assurances over pensions

A planned tube strike this week by London Underground maintenance staff has been suspended because workers had received new assurances over jobs and pensions.

RMT secretary Bob Crow commented that union representatives are now happy that a full pension scheme rescue package is now in place.
