Research carried out by ill-health financial solutions provider
Partnership show that half of the individuals over the age of 50
who suffer poor health are unaware that their medical condition
could entitle them to a higher pension on retirement.
Retirement income may be increased by shopping around if their
contract allows an Open Market Option which means that another
pension provider may pay higher benefits than the original
provider. This may be especially true if the individual suffers
from an everyday medical complaint that would qualify for an
enhanced product.
