BAA Staff could strike over pension changes

26 November 2007

Staff at the British Airports Authority (BAA) are to be balloted on strike action over plans to stop new staff joining the final salary pension scheme. Unite union officer, Brendan Gold, said: "It is clear that the pension scheme is financially sound and should be left alone."

Unite represents 5,000 airport workers and the ballot will take place on 29 November.
