Merger of UK pension watchdogs mooted

A merger between the UK's newest regulatory bodies for pensions - the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund - just two years after they came into existence was floated yesterday by Paul Thornton, the man appointed by the government to conduct an independent review of pension regulation.
