Proposed pension contribution increases for BBC staff postponed

Following pressure from the broadcasting union Bectu and the National Union of Journalists, the BBC has postponed plans to increase employee pension contributions to the BBC Staff Pension Scheme until September 2008. Employee contributions will be assessed when the outcome of the triennial valuation of scheme assets is known.
