MPs have summoned Pensions Regulator chairman David Norgrove and
chief executive Tony Hobman for private talks over the
effectiveness of the Regulator during the Boots pension row.
Whilst talks are continuing between the Alliance Boots pension
scheme trustees and KKR to try and overcome the dispute over the
£1bn funding issue, the scheme trustees have until tomorrow
to file court papers to block the takeover if they are unable to
reach an agreement with KKR.
MPs are planning to table a motion in Parliament today,
demanding that Government investigate the takeover.
