Following the approval of the High Court, the transfer of
Equitable Life's £1.8bn with-profits annuity book to
Prudential is near completion. An extraordinary general meeting in
October saw over 98% of Equitable members vote in favour of the
move, which is now due to complete on 31 December 2007.
