The Government are proposing to put forward plans for an online
tool using generic advice to guide people through choosing the
right type of pension. The Government's open market annuity review
is expected to be submitted at the end of the month with the
findings being published in October.
In addition to the plans to introduce a user-friendly, online
annuity tool, there are calls for the industry to increase member
communication and increase the speed of transferring benefits
through standardising the system.
