Updated guidance on providing lump sum death benefits has been
published by the Pensions Regulator.
Minor amendments have been made to the previous guidance
including making the scenarios clearer and clarifying the
regulator's role.
The guidance sets out under what circumstances lump sum death
benefits can be provided for members of occupational schemes and
where lump sum death benefits can be provided in the absence of the
provision of pension benefits.
