Pension Tracing Service

Each year, the trustees and managers of occupational pension schemes must supply the Pensions Regulator will up to date information about their schemes.  Included must be up to date contact details for member enquiries.

The Pension Tracing Service, a service provided by the Pension Service, has access to those contact details and makes them available to the public, on request.

So, if you have lost contact with an old employer's pension scheme, the Pension Tracing Service should be able to point you in the right direction.

Tracing a scheme

There are three different ways of using their tracing service.

  • Call them on 0845 6002 537;
  • Apply online by completing a tracing request form;
  • Or writing to them at the address below.

You will need, at the very least, the name of your previous employer or pension scheme.  The more information you can supply, the easier it will be for them to find the right scheme.
